The day began in the gloom, as most of our days do, gathering at the Rubicon before a quick carpool over to the Hooche. While we waited for the hour to strike we were graced with a good amount of mumble chatter, but nothing less can be expected when you have Darth, Lawdog, and Flo in the herd. Finally the time came and Boomer took the reins and we took off for a quick lap around the parking lot to loosen the leg for what was surely going to be a long day. After a quick warm up that included some IC SSH, Cotton pickers, and Imperial walkers we moseyed over to a long stretch of curb to do some BLIMPS Suicides, adding an exercise with each return. We finished with a quick round of planks then moseyed back to the flag, for it was time to grab our Sack and Ruck!
We took off on the first leg of our Ruck at about 0630, and definitely still in the gloom. After a quick game of frogger over States Bridge Road, we were off on our long march. By the time we approached Jones Bridge the sun had decided to join us and we were continuously spurred on by honks of encouragement from passer bys. Finally after about an hour and a quarter ruck which equated to 4.6 miles, we reached the Widow Maker. We took a quick 5 before the next Bloodhound started our next Beatdown, which started with an old favorite Bring Sally Up with Squats, holding our rucks. After that, Bloodhound continued the suckfest with the 9 levels of Hell, a group of 9 Ruck exercises that included Over head squat, lunges, chest press, shoulder front raise, shoulder press, curl, skull crushers, coffin sit ups, and ribbons (go around your head with your ruck). This was all IC, and it all sucked. We regrouped after the started onto the next leg of Rucking.
It was a long 6 mile stretch all the way to the Rubicon, with more inclines than YHC has ever noticed while driving, but finally the familar Rubicon came into view and we all new the end of our journey was near. What we did not know however was that Do-si-do would not let this event end without getting to do some more burpees. Do-si took over once everyone had made it to the flags and took us to the small field near the pool. He instructed us that at each corner we would do burpess, starting with 3, then adding 3 for the next 2 corners. At the home base he had some ruck exercises for us, which we would build on each round. Round 1: 5 explosion burpess (burpees with the ruck on), RND2: 5 explosion burpees and 10 ground to over head, Rnd 3: the 1st 2 plus flutters holding the bag overhead, and RND 4: all that other crap plus sit up and press. At the conclusion of the 4 rounds we moseyed back to the flags.

Welcome Scratch, what a day to come out as an FNG. He would be a great addition to the Wreck as he lives down that way.
Prayers for Bloodhounds mother-in-law as she starts another round of Chemo
Prayers for Houston and all those affected by Hurricane HArvey

Thank you to the 3 HIMs that stepped up to Q the 3 beatdowns. They all sucked in their own unique way. I appreciate you guys helping out.
Thank you to all the Ms that came out in support, I know a few are looking forward to the Fia start next week and I believe they have some good things on the horizon. But Thank you again to Bloodhounds M, The Moles M (and 2.0s), Crickets M (and tribe of 2.0s), and to my YHCs M who brought supplies, smiles, and encouragement as well as took pictures, and moved cars.
THanks to all those passer bys that honked and gave encouragement, honestly it’s nice to see the support and the waves, just because they appreciate and still believe in what the flag means and represents.
Thank you to all the HIMs that jumped on board with this CSAUP with donations, sign ups, and shirt sales. As of right now we are over $600 raised and I still have a little money still to come in. Great job men.
