“Sweat” Fest

Preamble:

The Pre-Blast on Twitter was a GIF from Airplane with the pilot sweating profusely.  It was a prelude of what was to come, but probably not what the PAX was thinking.  16 men beat the fartsack which is close to a record for the Windjammer.  Welcome an FNG and a downranger.  After a quick disclaimer, we set off into the gloom.

Warm-O-Rama:

Head to the Dam for SSH, Imperial Walker and Weedpicker.

The Thang:

Already in place, partner up and grab a coupon to share for a fun Catch Me If You Can along the flat part of the dam.  One partner would do 3 burpees and the other would take off with the coupon.  Once the partner caught him, switch the coupon and keep moving.

Once that was complete, YHC took us over to the Boat Launch for a crowd pleaser, the burpee apocalypse.  10 burpees, then 9, 8, etc.  YHC did give them a “get out of jail free card” to be used to skip every other round if they could recite F3’s 5 core principles…. which they successfully did.

Now off to the Sports Park for balls to the wall.  45 second goal with 1 minute as a bonus.  Next up was a mini circuit that included dips, pull-ups, squats, swerkins, lunges, lap, step ups, and DB drills.  Just enough time for 1.5 rounds.  YHC took us back to the dam for an explanation of the pre-blast.   We would do sweat angels while sweating while looking at Keith Sweat’s house over the lake.  Yes, the R&B superstar and producer of the 80’s & 90’s.

Great group today.  Lots of new energy with RNG’s, downrangers and a new FNG.

Welcome downranger Beaker from Fort Mill, SC and FNG, Blake, who was named FGL because he has crossed over the Florida Georgia Line for work, school and residence.  Appropriate considering this is GA vs FL week.

Prayers and wise words were spoken about cherishing the moments we have today.
