Hamstrung Deck of Cards… plus Cupcakes!

Preamble:

It’s been a minute since I stopped running and hit up a legit BD, and the hammy is still giving me fits, so when I saw an opening I grabbed it. Running is a bit limited, so had to come up with an idea and luckily my buddy Lumbergh said what about a 0.0 workout. I said, add cinders and we are a go!

A little rusty on the disclaimer, but a nod of approval from False Start was all that was needed to get my confidence soaring.

Warm-O-Rama:

Haven’t warmed up in months, so I went back to my old faithful exercises.

The Thang:

Over to the area where I have a board with apparently nothing written on it until it is flipped over.

Deck of death with cinders is the plan.

Hearts= front raises with cinder

Spades= Skull crushers with cinder

Clubs= curls with cinder

Diamonds = decline diamond Mercans with feet on cinder

Number on the card is the number of reps. Jack= 11, Queen = 12, and King = 13. Ace is either 15 or 5, depending on if the individual gets the trivia question correct.

Trivia questions were:

• The number one song on October 18, 2021. Answer: Stay by The Kid Laroi and Justin Beiber

All wrong, so 15 reps for each Ace.

There were two Jokers and for those the PAX chose the exercise and I chose the reps. First Joker went to Jump Seat and he heard HotSauce say murder bunnies. Not knowing what they were, and thinking they sounded soft and cuddly, he said yeah Murder Bunnies. We did them to the speed bump, and he learned a valuable lesson.

Second Joker went to Lil Hurt and I heard someone say he “chose violence” with blockees, so we did 10.

In between each round we did a lap around the parking lot, and partially through round 2 I said all numbers are doubled.

We did not get through the whole deck, but got through 3 solid rounds of cards.

Back to the flag for some flutter kicks to round it out.

COT:

Prayers for Lil Hurt’s dad who has gone through 2 back surgeries in recent months. Lots of events coming up: 2nd F lunch, blood drive, beer ruck, Santa ruck, convergence.
