Preamble:

My VQ and I took everyone back to my college days when I was actually in pretty good shape.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosied up to the upper parking lot where we warmed up with SSH’s, Weedpickers and Hillbillies.  Then mosied to the retention pond to select a coupon to use in the beat down.

The Thang:

In college, my roommates and I used to do a deck of cards while listening to U2 – the greatest band ever.  We’d flip a card, red was one exercise, black was another.  We would have to do the number that was on the card.

For this beatdown we had four stations at each corner of the football field and one in the center.  Each corner station had a deck of cards and 2 exercises depending on what color you flipped.  2-10 was 10 reps, Jack to Ace was 20 reps and the joker was 25.  We broke into two groups and all started in the middle with 10 merkins. Each group went to a corner to flip a card, do the exercise then come back to the middle station for 10 merkins then continue clockwise around the station each time coming back to the middle.

Station 1 – Burpees or lunges

Station 2 – Curls or shoulder presses with coupons

Station 3 – Dying cockroach or mountain climbers

Station 4 – Squats or Freddy Mercuries

There were definitely some shenanigans going on as one group consistently flipped a red face card for 20 burpees each time we were at station 1.  Not saying who might have stacked the deck but his name rhymes with Ballahan.

Mosied back to flag just in time to avoid Mary.

COT:

Announcement on supporting NFCC with boxes of goodies for people in need.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

May 16 was the one year mark of my wife passing.  I started F3 in August and it has truly been a blessing to me as I navigate this chapter of my life.  The way you have all embraced me and my boys and supported us during this time is incredible and something I will never forget.  It was appropriate I had my VQ on May 17 to give back just a little of what you have all given me.  Thank you.
