I didn’t sleep well last night because I was so excited about the post-beatdown reward. More on that later…
Warm Up:
A short mosey to the other flag where we circled up to do the following:
- SSH IC X 15
- Imperial Walkers IC X 15
- Weedpickers IC X 15
The Thang:
After warmup, we took a short mosey to the paved track for our first exercise.
Modified Burpee Catch Me If You Can Indian Run:
PAX lined up in 2 single file lines and start off running slowly. The first PAX drops out of line and does 5 burpees. After completing his burpees, he then sprints to the front of the line and tags the next PAX for them to drop and do 5 burpees. The first PAX drops to the back of the line. Repeat until all PAX have done burpees. That was a good way to get as all warmed up a bit more in preparation for a real ball buster at the field of dreams.
We then took a slow mosey to the rock garden to pick up a coupon. I think most of the smaller ones were taken when Nacho made his final selection.
Nachos stone selection
Elevens Around the Bases with Coupon:
Starting at 3rd base with your coupon begin with 1 BBSU with arms extended overhead then do 10 squat/presses. Alternate lunge walk and crab walk between bases. Lunge walk with coupon in front and rotate coupon laterally towards the side of the extended leg. Crab walk with coupon on your abdomen.
This is where the mumble chatter began. Those that had smaller coupons faired quite well; myself included. Those that had larger coupons began complaining about needing a cup as their coupon was crushing their junk. I heard a lot of grunts and groans and I’m not sure if it was from effort or the fact that their packages were being mishandled.
Making our way around the infield took a fair amount of time due to the slow pace between bases. I only hope that this series of exercises was a ball buster figuratively as well as literally!!!
My pebble was a little more manageable!
We finished up at the Field of Dreams around 6:08 and then headed back to the stone garden to return our coupons. The PAX proceeded back to the flag to circle up for some Mary and a few more exercises.
This is when I started to get really excited for two reasons! We had an FNG to name and a great reward for our efforts.
Namerama:
Lowes brought along an FNG who he knows from Home Depot. We named him Honey Boo Boo. Here’s to a big welcome to Honey Boo Boo. We hope to see you back at more beatdowns!!
(FNG) Honey Boo Boo
COT:
Lowes brought up a donation effort that his church does annually for the troops abroad. His church has an Oreo drive and requested that the PAX bring Oreos to the workout for this cause.
We circled up and enjoyed some ice-cold milk and enjoyed each others company during Oreoteria. We split up one pack of Oreos and the rest went to the troops.
What a great way to start the day!!! Thanks guys!!!
