The hill is the work. The merkins are just for show

Preamble:

YHC had in mind to do a heavy carry focused beatdown with tire flips, sandbags, a kettlebell, and cinders. Anything more than that was just gravy.

Warm-O-Rama:

SSH, Weed Pickers, Good mornings, Sun Gods.

The Thang:

YHC brought a heavy tire, a heavy sandbag, a less heavy sandbag, some cinder blocks, and a heavy kettlbell.

Each pax paired up to move the objects up and down the hill. At the bottom of the hill we did 10 ww2 sit ups and at the top we did 10 merkins until every team  had rotated through all the toys. Then we switched to squats at the bottom of the hill and LBCs with full leg extension at the top of the hill.

In between there was where the real work was

For each toy with the exception of the tire – one partner carried it up while the other sprinted – once they were done at the top they swapped places

The tire was flipped to midway up the hill then rolled to the top (for the sake of time) then it was flipped halfway down and rolled to the bottom

The heavy sandbag was a shoulder carry

The lighter sandbag 40# was a Cussack carry

The single cinder was a chest carry

The double cinder was a farmer carry

The kettle bell was a one arm overhead carry

almost everyone completed two rounds of all the toys

Then we did a couple of minutes of Mary

COT:

Some announcements and prayer requests were mentioned. I think I actually forgot to pray for the one main prayer request (Sorry Lightweight)

No coffee made it to the beatdown so we had a brief bit of chatter before stumbling off into the cold morning air. Thankful that it looks like warmer mornings are on the way.
