The Thang:

This morning’s wind whip was enough to send any sane person back indoors, but not the brave PAX! A short mosey kept them moving to warm up with dips and step-ups until they made their way across Johns Creek HS. Five burpees were earned at each light post as everyone shuffled along before YHC had an icy surprise waiting on the wooden bridge – bear craw slides galore! The final challenge awaited just 200k away in terms of Brick Retaining Wall Ballsy Torture (30secs) for a downright dirty finish line. Tough work doesn’t have to be boring though; these hard-working heroes traded quips all through it-now that’s what I call #grindingwithaGRIN

With nostalgia in our hearts, a group of brave old and young souls set off on an epic journey to Johns Creek High’s back lot. We were determined to conquer the fabled ‘Beat Down Hill’, where we paid homage with 11s’ worth of Merkins & Bobby Hurleys – no sweat! That done (and half way smoked!) it was time for Bear Slides or Crawls across Icy Bridge followed by 6 Burpees at each street light pole before finally returning home happy but exhausted after some trusty Mary exercises 🙂

A beloved husband and father, My Friend and past D group leader Loren Evans passed away on Friday. Although his presence is no longer with us here on earth, he’ll always be remembered for the everlasting love of his devoted wife Sue, and two beautiful daughters. We hold their family in our hearts as we pray for peace during this difficult time.
