Things that Can’t Get Wet

Preamble:

It was pouring rain on my drive and I wondered if I’d be working out all alone.  As I got close, I passed 3 pre-runners and knew that I was out-classed by Baskins, Mr. Hand and DDoS.

Olaf and I met the 3 pre-runners at the water tower and I told them that I thought an FNG was coming but he didn’t show up. I had told the FNG that we’d be doing a parking deck workout so when we got to the deck, we found and welcomed our FNG.

Warm-O-Rama:

A short mosey in the heavy rain from the Water Tower to the Parking Deck.  We followed that by Sun Gods, SSH, Parker Peters and Imperial Walkers.

The Thang:

We did an escalating count beatdown for 4 exercises with a rest “chorus” in between.

The exercises:

• Runner’s Squats
• Bulgarian Split Squats
• Scorpion Dry Docks
• One Legged Bridge

Our rest “chorus” included sprinting up the parking deck rise and then mosey on the straight till the 3rd level and then do 10 burpees and mosey back down.

The escalating count was 3 then 6 then 9 then 12 for each exercise.  We completed 4 iterations before moseying back to the water tower.

COT:

Prayers for Baskin’s mom as she undergoes more surgeries and treatments for an infection from a previous surgery.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Naming FNG’s is an important responsibility for each of us.  Sometimes the situation helps out as it did today.  I told our FNG that we’d be doing a parking deck workout so he went there instead of to the rainy parking lot by the water tower.  After the beatdown, he then drove from the deck to the water tower for the COT while the rest of us moseyed back.  Baskins and Olaf came up with the brilliant idea that he needed to be named something with the theme of “Things that can’t get wet”.  Charmin, Big Perm, and many other interesting names were discussed while we ran back.

Anyway, welcome our new FNG – Big Perm.
