Preamble:
YHC has posted at the Boneyard but never Q’d so, looking for an excuse to bust out the new BAS (Big Ass Speaker), I grabbed the Q.
Warm-O-Rama:
No FNGs and all vets. Quick F3 disclaimer and disclaimed about the BD – i.e., there won’t be a lot of breaks.
We set off for a quick mosey around the amphitheater and circled up near the field. Warmup consisted of:
Forward Arm Circles
Backward Arm Circles
Copperhead Squats
Mercans
Windmills
The Thang:
After the warmup we moseyed to the field (which was notably larger than it appeared on Google Maps) where YHC had lights in the corners and the BAS at midfield.
Thang 1:
Partner up for two laps of catch me if you can. Partner 1 does Bernie Sanders, which partner 2 does 5 burpees and sprints to catch P1. Flap jack and keep going. P1 & P2 collectively need to complete two laps. This got the HR moving out of the gate.
When finished, Plank for the six and when the six arrived we all did 15 ATM Mercans.
Very short explanation for Thang 2 and we moved on
Thang 2:
Four corners, Round 1 –
Corner Exercises were:
25 Hand Release Mercans
25 Jump Squats
50 Plank Jacks
50 LBCs
Mosey the long field lengths, but spring the short ones. SSH for the 6 at center field when complete.
Thang 3:
Four Corners, Round 2 –
Corner Exercises were:
10 Burpees
20 Star Jumps
30 Back and Forths (not sure the technical name. Jump forward and then back)
50 Low Plank Jacks
Same Mosey setup as Round 1. SSH for the 6. When the 6 shows, we keep SSH until 6 did 20 SSH
Thang 4:
Back to catch me if you can, however, YHC failed to thoroughly communicate the setup. It was a bear crawl CMIYC, however, P1 is bear crawling while P2 does burpees. P2 still sprints to catch P1. Unfortunately all PAXs thought they had to BC to catch P1. realizing the misstep, we corrected and continued. This was a burner…
Thang 5:
Four Corners, Round 3 –
Corner Exercises were:
15 Ranger Merkins
15 Slow Tempo Merkins
15 Wide Merkins
15 Regular Merkins
Plank or SSH for the 6 as before, but honestly can’t remember which we did at this point.
Thang 6:
10 burpees with a final lap around all corners, however long stretches were sprints and short length was a mosey.
