Bowling (not Cricket)

AO: Rubicon

When: 10/27/2022

QIC: lumberg-g-g-GHOST

PAX (15): Avis, Cookie, Devito, FannyPack, Groundhog, Jump Seat, Krueger, Lil Hurt, MillerTime, No-See-Um, Pinkey, Red Ryder (D Mack), Special K, Turbine

Preamble:

I took on Fanny Packs challenge to grab some random Qs. But now suddenly Rubicon has turned into the Fall Carnival and felt pressured to keep up the theme.

I struggled with some ideas that carried too much risk but then the perfect original idea hit me.

Warm-O-Rama:

Around the lot facing east. IWs, WPs, windmills, arm stuff. And down to the pavilion.

The Thang:

In the pavilion I revealed the original, in no way copied, unique idea of F3 Bowling.

We had 10 frames (exercises) where each roll was 20 reps. Two teams would face off. When your team does one round of the exercise you do a slash /, second round make an X, and third you put a SQUARE around it like a bowling frame. That is your turkey. After your team has the turkey for all exercises you can jump around and try to increase your score as a total.

Frames:

  1. Mercans
  2. Jump Squats
  3. LBCs
  4. Dips
  5. Run the bathroom loop
  6. Calf Raises
  7. CaptainThor
  8. Stone Mountain
  9. Mountain Climbers
  10. Burpees

Both teams went down the board first and then team 1 went back up it (and had to make up for their skipped mtn climbers).

Both teams got their turkey in every exercise (although people were circling the X for some weird reason) and hopped around the board leaving the burpees out of it.

Team 1 gave up on scoring. Guess they are just there for the fun of it. So Team 2 ran away with victory.

Oh yeah and all this was done to the soundtrack of bowling film Big Lebowski. That is decidedly NOT a good workout soundtrack. Even my speaker would rather die than continue playing it. Sorry about that one.

Back to the flag

COT:

So many things to do but mostly just come to Hoppylike tomorrow.

Prayers for Devitos family and NoSeeUms.

TNT discussion on the coal miner picture. Make time for your family no matter your obligations.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure to lead. Again, sorry about that music.
