YHC saw there was an open slot to Q on Thursday, and felt the call to step up. The last few workouts I ran out of time, so today I was hoping the extra 15 minutes would be enough to inflict the appropriate amount of pain.
The Warm up
Quick loop around the parking lot then 15 SSH, 15 Imperial Walkers, and 15(ish) Weed pickers
The Thang
-Took a short walk over to the rock pile to pick up a date, then headed to the soccer field for a 4-corners session. Started with 10 goblet squats, then coupon run to the next corner. Added 20 Merkins to build upon the 10 squats. Next corner we added 30 BBS (w/ coupon), and finally 40 shoulder presses at Q4.
-Dropped our rocks, and headed over to the stadium stairs for a set of 11s. Plank jacks at the bottom, burpees at the top, box jump to the top of the stairs. Box jumps left everyone gassed, except Dos-i-Do who left us in the dust.
-Next it was time to pay our respects to the Widowmaker, so we hit an Indian run around the parking lot and down to the bottom of the hill for a Ring of Fire. 1 PAX ran to the top of the Widowmaker, while the rest of the crew performed various exercises until their return, then rotated to the next exercise. From left to right, PAX began with a murder’s row of Dips, Shoulder Taps, then Merkins. Once the arms had achieved jelly consistency, Lunges, V-ups, and Sundials followed. Despite a decent amount of grunting and idle chatter, everyone performed admirably.
With the Ring of Fire had been completed all PAX, we hit a Mosey to the top of the hill, then finished with another Indian run back to the (figurative) flag.
Mary
-One minute to spare, so we knocked out 20 Freddie Mercuries and called it a day.
