After some previous notable beatdowns from our PAX teen set this week YHC stepped in to 1) triple the average age of this week’s Q and 2) hopefully inflict some revenge. Interestingly enough there were no minors to be found today at The Wreck. And while I’m sure expectations were high for a typical GM low mosey ground work session, YHC decided to venture into unfamiliar ground. I assumed I would be inflicting the most pain mainly on myself.
At 0530 we circled up for a really quick warm up: Imperial Walkers, Cotton Pickers and Windmills. Then the mosey began to our soundtrack for the morning*.
We made a brief stop by the WALL for a quick set of 20 handstand merkins and 20 BBSUs. Then we moseyed some more. Actually a lot more. Most of the way around the Wreck to be exact with a couple stops in between for Merkins and LBCs while holding for the six.
We started our next ‘hot lap’ around the park and made our way back to the field hockey field where we partnered up for a little Burpee Catch me if you Can. First partner does 8 burpees while partner two runs backwards. When finished partner 1 runs to catch him and swap, counting down burpees 7,6,5,4,3,2,1.
Guess what? More moseying. Back around the park until our soundtrack directed us to “Run to the Hills”. So we did. There we sundialed up and crawl beared back down. Moseyed back to the flag with just enough time for one set of American Hammers before calling time.
Various reports of mileage ranged from 3.4 – 3.7 miles. Who knows? All I know is my running Q days are over.
GMonkey out.
