It was a well moon-lit morning at the Candy Creek when YHC pulled up and saw Ha-Ha’s car in the parking lot. Pretty soon, the others arrived to join us in the gloom.
Warmup:
Mosey to Caney Road and back then the following IC:
SSH
Weed Pickers
Windmills
Imperial Walker
The Thang:
Next we moseyed up the stairs and YHC explained what was next. It seems to me that the loop trail at the top of the stairs is like a clock, so we’ll run around the clock and stop at each quarter doing things where 3, 6, 9, and 12 would be. Here’s how it went:
Mercans – 3, 6, 9, 12, plank for six
BBS – 3, 6, 9, 12, six inches for six
Squat – 3, 6, 9, 12, chair for six
Rinse and repeat
Rinse and repeat
That was 9 times around the clock. When YHC mentioned we only had 15 more times to make it one day’s worth, there were no takers on that. Then Ha-Ha said he finally heard it: Nacho breathing heavy.
So we went down the stairs for a lesson in 11’s. Two exercises, one at the top and one at the bottom, starting with 1 at the bottom and 10 at the top, then 2-9, 3-8, etc. There was some stalling-type discussion about 5-6 and 6-5, but YHC got us back on track. At first we bear crawled up the (31) stairs, but after the first round, we abandoned that.
Barely got finished with the 11’s, and with some help we counted that we had done 145 Mercans total. Pretty good contribution, for the PAX that are doing the Mercan challenge of 5,000 Mercans in May. Only 22 left for them to do on their own later to keep their daily pace.
COT:
F3 Macon launch on May 19
Safe travels for Nacho driving to Arizona
Prayers for the NLB guys doing their life story
Pleasure to lead this morning, what a great group of men!
