Sometimes the #gloom is gloomy, sometimes it is gloomier, but today it was gloomiest (DARK and DANK). YHC thought it wise to introduce the PAX to a hill that is known well to area runners (more on that later). 9 strong HIMs jumped in the gloom with both feet and all exited on the other side. TClaps to Erk who has already EH’d a buddy after a few posts of his own. #growth. There was some mumble chatter bouncing around the boards requesting an “easy” #beatdown this am, post MURPH. Did YHC oblige? Heck no.
Here’s what went down:
Warm-up: Mosey around the lot for with some high knees, butt kickers, and side shuffles thrown in for fun.
Disclaimer given
COP: all in cadence
- Side Straddle Hops- 10
- Hillbillies- 10
Mosey to the Bench near the old folks home for:
- 10 ICs of dips and hold at the bottom for 10 straight count
- 10 ICs of Irkins and hold at the bottom for 10 straight count
- 10 Ics of split squats and hold at the bottom for a 10 straight count. Flap jack and repeat with other leg in front.
LOOOoooong Mosey to the bottom of the hill on State bridge to the Johns Creek Bridge:
Partner up…one partner runs forever up the hill while the other partner rotates through 10 reps of Alabama Ass Kickers, Big Boy Situps, Carolina Dry Docks, and Diamond Merkins. ABCD. 2 rounds.
The problem with running a long way to work out is that you have to get back. Here’s how we got back. Indian Run up the hill, which turned in to a lunge walk, which turned in to mosey, which turned in to monkey humpers at the top, and finally a mosey back to the flag.
No time for MOM, but we circled up for COT and Name-a-rama (Welcome Handy!)
COT: Dab’s friends daughter is coming home, Boomer’s upcoming trip to Poland, Camp All-America
