We Ran Down Some Dreams at Norseman

Preamble:

Twas a perfect late-May morning, the last days of school were upon us, & an 18PAX of Norsemen & Friends gathered to get the day started right with a great sweat. Tom Petty was one of my first concerts AND first CDs. So let’s pay tribute to this late great singer/songwriter. “After all it is a great big world, with lots of places to run to.” Let’s go!

Warm-O-Rama:

Stu led the warmup for me so I could get the speaker ready; we figured we would FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER if we warmed up so we did some SSH, Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Arm Circles, & Micheal Phelps. Now grab a coupon and let’s hit the turf field.

The Thang:

“We started out on a dirty road” and LEARNED TO FLY with 4-Corners

Merkins/Squats/Mountain Climbers/LBCs

Lap 1 – 15 reps each (WE’RE SO BAD)

Lap 2 – 20 reps (WE WON’T BACK DOWN)

Lap 3 – 25 reps (LAST DANCE WITH MARY JANE)

We realized we did not have to live like a REFUGEE so we circled up and grabbed our coupon. We went FREE FALLING into some Crazy 10s, followed by a 100-yard sprint & mosey back. Then INTO THE GREAT WIDE OPEN with some Colt-60s (15 curls, overhead press, skull crushers, & bent over rows), followed by 100-yard sprint & mosey back. Rinse & Repeat X2

The Pax started to wonder, “Where are the Burpees? Yes, THE WAITING IS THE HARDEST PART. So we did SSH & a Burpee on “I NEED TO KNOW”.

Pick your pain and say when involved Freddie Mercs, Fire Hydrants, “AMERICAN GIRL” Hammers & Lunges followed by laps to KINGS HIGHWAY & INTO THE GREAT WIDE OPEN.

Back to the flag for some Flutters & Merkins. I FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER. Do you? Feels good to stinky sweat again. Nice work! Always a pleasure to lead.
