I’m only happy when it rains

Preamble:

I got a great beatdown setup and posted a pre-blast teaser, but then checked the weather and realized it’s probably going to rain. While I don’t mind getting wet myself, the plan included supporting material that is somewhat more partial to rain than me.

Time for Plan B! I had a playlist ready that only needed a few tweaks and a Board of Pain that was patiently waiting to be let out to play.

Warm-O-Rama:

A solid disclaimer in favor of the FNG and we moseyed toward the pavilion, because you know – it’s raining.

Woops. A couple cars are coming in late, so let’s run around in the parking lot and pick them up.

Heading to the Pavilion. Or not. More PAX coming late and so another round was made.

NOW running toward the pavilion. Circle up outside of it, though, for a classic warmup – SSH, Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers and some OYO Arm Circles.

The Thang:

Into the pavilion we go, where the Board of Pain was ready with a list of exercises. This would be done DORA style. All exercises are 100-count, single or alpha mentioned. One PAX runs around the parking lot and one PAX works out inside.

The twist – the playlist is filled with Rain-themed songs. Every time it says Rain or Raining the PAX inside do a Burpee. Some songs had a few, some (Purple Rain and Raining Men come to mind) had A LOT.

I’ll admit I did not expect we’ll finish the whole board, but at least some partners did.

We moseyed back to the flag for a quick Mary. More Gas Pumpers and a few more Burpees.
