Preamble:
Uncle Feathers felt a good ol’ fashioned slobberknocker was in order to prepare our metabolism for tomorrow’s national food orgy.
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey around the parking lot, past the darkened doors of IronTribe. Apparently Thanksgiving Eve is a holiday for overpriced gyms. Circle up for SSH, Imperial Walkers, Copperhead Squats, and weedpickers. Continued mosey to the church parking lot for the Thang.
The Thang:
A pleasant round of that childhood favorite, Chutes and Ladders.
Using 10 consecutive parking spaces as markers, perform ascending reps of prescribed exercise. Start with 2 reps at first line, then ambulate to the next line using the prescribed form of locomotion. Increasing reps by 2 each line. Upon completing the last set of 20 reps at the 10th line, run down the chute (hill near the steeple) and back up the steep hill to the starting line, then proceed to next exercise.
- Merkins and Crab walks
- T bombs and bear crawls
- Heels to heaven and lunge walks
- Plankjacks and Crab walks
- Yowzers (Burpee with a Bonnie Blair finish) and run (1 rep intervals vs 2)
Sufficiently smoked, PAX honored the first Thanksgiving with an Indian run back to the flag for COT.
Grateful Playlist:
- Sugar Magnolia
- Friend of the Devil
- Hell in a Bucket
- US Blues
- I Need a Miracle
- Scarlet Begonias
- Shakedown Street
- Throwing Stones
COT:
Tenderfoot was our 6. He shared his love for camping, the joys of being a father, and that F3 has been instrumental in helping him form consistent habits and set goals. He’s been a great addition to this group over the past year.
Announcements for Santa Ruck, Hot n Special 5K, Christmas party, and Christmas Eve Eggnog BD. Prayers for Dinghy’s friend Brian who is going through Chemo. Cancer Sucks. Gratitude expressed for our unique community and our big God.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
This is my favorite holiday. Yes, I love food and football and family as much as the next guy, but it’s the outward expression of gratitude that makes this day so special. I’m grateful to this brotherhood and all of the HIMs who have so massively impacted my life. Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy your families.
