USA, USA, USA!

Preamble:

Call it a coincidence, but your YHC realized that USA gets its chance for redemption today after 8 years since it’s last World Cup game today… so we started the day ready to  battle.  Toys, canned vegetables, and a soccer ball in hand.

Warm-O-Rama:

This non communist country sure does keep the soccer goals hidden in the farthest corner of the park… so the run took some time to get there but at least it warmed us up (along with some side straddle hops, weed pickers, burpees, merkins, heel raises, knee highs heel highs, grapevine and side shuffling).

The Thang:

Divide in two teams.  PK shoutout.  Whoever made the goal or “blocked” the shot could pick the exercise out of two options provided by yours truly.  Bonnie Blair’s, Anton onos, side planks with leg lifts, LBC, big boys, Superman, lunges, broad jumps, bear crawls, crab walks, and fun was had by all (except for the guys that sailed one over or on to the crossbar).  Tried to go lift something heavy curls, rows, and RDLs… then sprint back!

COT:

USA 2:00 today.  Santa Ruck December 10th.  Aflac matches donations financially up to 500. He is a good man.  Let’s hit him where it hurts.  Foley already put him in 50.  Feel free to respond to this post with your contribution to keep the momentum going.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

In life, we deal with a lot.  But today let’s remember that there is really only one thing that should matter.  Everyone has different values and priorities I know, but I would challenge you to focus on that thing we need to focus on more than anything else.  For some, I hope it is your eternal life and how this life is just preparation for that process.  For others, it might be your family  you need to focus on instead of work.  Whatever it is, pause… look at your calendar … and see how you’re doing right now.  We can do this.  We can do this better.  And we can do it together.
