Who carries a cinder up a ladder?

Preamble:

The QIC knew he’d signed up for a November Q, but had honestly forgotten it was this early in the month…good thing he checked the Q sheet over the weekend. Cinder notification provided on FB to the PAX which elicited some unfriendly emojis, but the only way to change that is to Q it yourself. Let the cinder trip up the ladder BD commence once all pax had arrived at the parking lot and chosen their $2 instrument of pain from the parking lot.

Warm-O-Rama:

Short mosey around the parking lot after leaving our cinders behind temporarily with some buttkickers, karaoke, and high knees mixed in on the loop. Grabbed our cinders and down to the field for the rest of the warmup:  SSHs, Weedpickers, and some other stuff.

The Thang:

I then shared with the pax our ladder plan for the day, but didn’t tell them rep counts or exercises because it was the AM after Halloween and that seemed spookier to leave them in the “dark” on that. Once all were lined up on the baseline and knew we’d be sticking together as a group on these, we got rolling:

2 Burpees

5 crossover Mercans (AC)

10 Mower pulls/single arm rows (AC)

20 kettle swings

25 goblet squats

30 curls

Each round added the next set of exercises to the total so that on the final round, we did the full list above. Separating each round was a 30 yard cusack with the cinder from one line to the other where the next round would begin once the 6 was in.

Lots of talkative members of the pax in the early rounds, but that downshifted to increasing mumble chatter at round 3.47 (that’s just a rough SWAG).

After getting to the “top” of the ladder, we worked our way back down and nearly made it back to the bottom rung, but due to time, had to head back to the flag. Since it was the 2nd rung, pax are encouraged to just “jump on back down” to the ground.

Arrived at the flag right on time, so no Mary needed.
