With a successful Peachtree road race behind us we gathered in the gloom to really work out those tired muscles.
The Warmup:
Mosey to the top parking lot for SSH, weed pickers and hillbilly’s. Cardiac hill flashbacks were the order of the morning!
The Thang:
Mosey to the tennis courts for a 11’s hill surprise – burpees at the bottom, lbc’s at the top. There was much grunting and groaning during this portion of our workout. The 12 year old FNG asked a few times if any of us were sweating yet, we just ignored him at that point.
During our time running up and down this hill I did spy a very good looking rock pile that needed investigation and decided a coupon surprise was the way to go. We found some flat sidewalk and started our upper body portion of the day with shoulder press, rows, skull crushers and curls. This was done at 10, 15, 20 and 25 sets. I had no positive responses to my “This is the best part of your day” speech, so a quick run up and back down the hill behind us to boost morale before finishing up the set.
With only 5 minutes left, we returned our coupons to protect the ERP Eco-system and moseyed back to the flag for some Mary – flutter kicks, dolly and Moonshine finished us off with some Jlo’s.
COT:
My first Q at “The Gladiator” is done. Very humbled to be part of this AO and the F3 family. Being able to show my 2.0 what I have been talking about and working towards for 7 months and having his “Dad” do his first beat down was special to me.
Thank you to everyone that has come out and supported us. Prayers and thoughts for all in the group raising children, being better husbands and growing as men.
FNG Name-O-rama: We settled on “Atari”,his story sounded very interesting with Lacrosse, swimming and a busy family life. But in the end his love of Fortnite and his Xbox took over.
Welcome Atari.
