- 10 PAX showed up to support my VQ. Perfect morning and weather to get the day started with a good beat down.
Warmup
Mosey up the hill to the park entrance. First lesson of the day as VQ…Mosey does not mean take off sprinting. My cadence also started off a little shaky but quickly got the hang of it.

– Cotton Picker X 12
– Hillbilly X 12
– Merkins X 10
Mosey back down the hill to the soccer field.
The Thang
Mosey around the park with breaks to flex those muscles; 10 merkins then mosey, 20 burpees then mosey, 30 squats then mosey, ending with 40 lunges.
Next the PAX paired up with one doing “balls on wall” while the other does an “Al Gore” for a 30 count. Switched and repeated until we covered 3 reps of each.
Headed over to the field for “Bear crawl / crabwalk to Heaven”. I underestimated the pain on this one. Started with a bear crawl of three increasing lengths with decreasing monkey humpers at the end of each marker. Repeated the whole thing but this time with crabwalks. Covered 3 soccer field lengths in total.
Next did diagonal and sideline runs with stops on each corner of the soccer field for 20 burpees, 20 merkins, 20 squats and 20 lunges.
This is where I ran out of both ideas and oxygen so handed the baton over to Devito.
We moseyed over to the stadium seats, starting at the bottom with IC dips, then run to the top for IC step ups on the picnic tables. Sets of 20, 15, 10, 5, 10 and 15. At this point I lost count in cadence, so time to move on. Mosey to the flag for round robin Mary.
