Preamble:

Once upon a time, at the AO of Halo in the still morning air with the birds chirping in the background, there was a group of fitness enthusiasts ready to take on a challenge like no other. They gathered around a pavilion adorned with a poorly shuffled deck of cards and five exercises written on a whiteboard: push-ups, jumping jacks, hip thrusters, and flutter kicks. The rules were simple: each card drawn would dictate the number of reps for one of the exercises, with face cards representing 20 reps and aces representing long runs. The goal? To complete the entire deck without faltering. As the first card was revealed, excitement mixed with a hint of apprehension filled the air. The group dove into the workout with gusto, powering through the initial rounds with determination. Push-ups turned into squats, squats into burpees, and so on, as sweat dripped and muscles burned. But as the deck dwindled, fatigue began to set in. Each card felt heavier than the last, and the once-eager faces now bore expressions of sheer determination. Legs wobbled during lunges, arms trembled during push-ups, and breath came in ragged gasps with each burpee. Yet, amidst the struggle, something remarkable happened. With each rep completed, a sense of camaraderie grew stronger. Encouraging words were exchanged, high-fives shared, and the collective spirit of the group soared higher with each passing card. And then, finally, it happened. The last card was drawn, and a chorus of cheers erupted as the group realized they had conquered the deck. Exhausted but elated, they collapsed onto the floor, their bodies spent but their spirits soaring. In that moment, they knew they had not only overcome a physical challenge but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and resilience that would carry them through any obstacle life threw their way. And as they basked in the glow of their achievement, they knew that they were capable of anything they set their minds to, one card at a time.
