PAX (13): Avis, Cookie, Devito, False Start, FannyPack, Focker, Groundhog, lumbergh, Pinkey, Red Ryder (D Mack), Special K, Speedo, Trebek
Excited to try a Lazy Dora & GRR’s at the Rubicon- don’t remember doing these here. Also, I made up a couple of exercises- Who knows what’ll happen next!??!?
Grab a medium coupon on the way to the FOD, circle up for a standard warm up including 20 SSH, 10 windmills, 10 weedpickers, 10 imperial walkers, arm circles & COVIDs.
GRRs- at the top is the Grip, Rip & Roll, with a press added into each count. PAX start in a circle with space between each, lay down on 6 next to the coupon. Grab the coupon, press it once, then set it to your right. Roll over to it and do 1 coupon merkin. Keep rolling onto your back again, repeat. 20x to the right, followed by 20x to the left.
Carry the coupon to the nearby building for some wall space.
Lazy Dora- pair up & do combined counts of 100, 200, 300. Instead of running, one PAX does BBTW (for the 100), wall sit (for the 200), and plank (for the 300). The other pax is working on the count, doing the following:
100 Spider Monkey Humpers (2x monkey humpers, immediately followed by 2x AC Peter Parkers)
200 Dying Swerkins (just like a swerkin, but dead. Press the coupon, tuck the knees. Keep your feet off the ground)
300 Mixed combo of Upper Body with coupon.
Do 10x (for 100’s) then flapjack. Then 20x (200’s), 30x (300’s).
We made it just into the 300’s when we needed to head back for time.
Playlist (shuffled, so I’m not sure what actually played):
Young Blood- The Naked and Famous
Ways to Go- GROUPLOVE
Young Folks- Peter Bjorn and John
That’s Not My Name- The Ting Tings
Sweet Disposition- The Temper Trap
I Will Wait- Mumford & Sons
It’s Corn- Tariq, The Gregory Brothers, Recess Therapy
Simple Song- The Shins
Take a Walk- Passion Pit
Change Your Mind- The Killers
On Top of the World- Imagine Dragons
Prayers for No-See-Um’s recovery and two other PAX dealing with illness & treatments. Upcoming NLB BD sponsored by the MeatHouse. Fun run opportunity tomorrow (name??) mentioned by Cookie.
TNT was a great reminder to represent F3 well in the community.
Thanks for letting me experiment with some made up exercises and an unfamiliar routine. Next time I’ll modify the Spider Monkey Humpers to 2x MH & 1x AC PP. Always a pleasure to lead!
