Preamble:

Surprise! Thunderstorms that weren’t shown on weather app 7 hrs before beatdown, threatened to put an end to workout before it even began.  Summertime in the south. So, QIC called plan B into action and directed all PAX willing and able to meet at gazebo across street.  By the time the clock hit 0530, the storms had moved on… Spider wanted a lightning clause thrown into the disclaimer but legal took too long writing it up for us, so, we stuck with original.

Warm-O-Rama:

SSH’s, Windmills, Mtn Climbers, hillbillies Rep’ counts of 15/each, IC.

The Thang:

QIC brought his trusty, rain-soaked 60+ pound sandbag, a single 35 pound kettlebell and the board o’ pain and the Goat brought his 30 pound kettlebell.

Each PAX took turns farmer carrying the kb’s (65 pounds combined) or sandbag to/from the stop sign at Hardscrabble Rd. while PAX in waiting performed each of the following calisthenics until it was time for the next man to carry the load:

  • Lt. Dayuns
  • Stone Montanas
  • Peter Parkers
  • Dips
  • Renegade Rows
  • Reverse lunges
  • H-R Mericans
  • Fox holes
  • Air scwats
  • Parker Peters
  • Diamond Mericans
  • R.D.L.’s
  • Lateral lunges
  • Shoulder Taps

QIC then tag teamed with Spider for his core galore special which included 100 reps of LBC’s, Freddie Merc’s, and flutters.

COT:

Gave thanks for the rain, the men that were able to show and for those traveling.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

“rain won’t melt you unless you’re made of sugar.  Lightning? yeah, that’ll melt you.” Sprocket and Spider out.
