Preamble:
Having gotten a “You know, it’s gonna pour tomorrow” heads up from the M yesterday en route to our Father’s Day dinner, YHC’s wheels started spinning, and by the time the bison burger came, the backup was in place. Then, our beloved site Q reach out with the nudge to keep an eye out for lightning……so the radar was on auto play, and plan C was developed. Arriving on site to no rain at The Hooch, all that was needed was to start the disclaimer, and then run really fast for the over hang when the monsoon abruptly started. But all was well – we were prepared!
Warm-O-Rama:
10 each of: Weedpickers, Willie Mays Hays, Moroccan Knight Clubs, Hillbillies
Simulate a mosey with 100 alpha count high knees. Mumble Chatter began…..
The Thang:
Simple but not easy:
Round 1: Hand release mercans, sets of 5/10/15/20/15/10/5 reps, 25 SSH’s between each set. Mosey to the movie theater
Round 2: Sumo squats, same set/rep with 25 SSH protocol as round 1. Run back to the overhang.
Round 3: BTTW, hold for 5/10/15/20/15/10/5 seconds, SSH’s between each set, run to the theater
R0und 4: Monkey humpers, same set/rep and SSH structure. Run back to the overhang
Round 5: Combine set of inch worms with set of Bonnie Blairs, with reps of 5/10/15/10/5
Round 6: Conduct a Jack Webb (1 mercan to 4 air presses, continuing all the way up…..to 9 mercans and 36 air presses, and that was time).
COT:
- Friday 2nd F event at Doublegate Pool, 6-10. Our very own Animal will be providing entertainment.
- Not too early to start with training for The Ready-Mix Quad, 11-12 August. 24 hours to complete a 1k swim, 10k run, 20k ruck, and 50k bike
- Prayers for: Mary Lynn Evans and the Evans girls as they continue to deal with Stewart’s death; prayers for Dinghy’s friends Brian and Brian as they continue their cancer treatments
