Preamble:
As in prior years, Q showed up a bit early to the Faces of War Memorial at City Hall to say hello to the volunteers setting up for the largest Memorial Day ceremony in Georgia. The Memorial was in full bloom and decorated for the occasion with Gold Star and Blue Star markers and the American and POW/MIA flags were flying proud and high.
Q recalled some mumble-chatter from last year about the lack of music, which was aptly remedied for 2023 (thanks to Catheter for handling DJ duties):
The Thang:
Q led a boisterous PAX on a slow mosey to Roswell Area Park for the core of the Murph. Reps were broken up into various chunks and the mumble-chatter was on point as usual. Early finishers picked up reps where needed and performed Mary while waiting for the six, and the group moseyed back to the Face of War Memorial with T-15 remaining on the clock.
COT:
- Praise that Blue’s wife’s biopsy came back benign.
- Prayers for AFLAC’s wife’s family as they navigate decisions for her parents.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
In the words of the inimitable Ronald Wilson Reagan:
AFLAC out.
