Working through Halpha Day

AO: HALPHA Day

When: 04/21/2023

QIC: Irene

PAX (6): Avis, Chef (F3Gwinnett), DDoS, jugdish, Stroller

Preamble:

YHC was excited for Halpha Day and I grabbed one of the only BD Qs left at the time, 4 am. Who knows how many would be left at that wee hour of the morning, but the mumble chatter talked up competition between the Qs, so YHC planned an interesting beatdown. Then Halpha Day started and after 9 beatdowns and rain, YHC decided to tone it down and save the planned BD for another day. YHC prepped a 0.0 in the car during the second ruck while the HIM who worked through the night kept going at the pavilion.

Warm-O-Rama:

We circled up under the pavilion with the lights and ran through a quick warmup of SSH, Toy Soldiers, Imp. Walkers, Monkey Arms, and COVIDs. YHC had to find the little used exercises that were skipped in previous warmups – save the hillbillies for when No-See-Um is around!

The Thang:

Two circuits, Two Sets each:

  1. Dips
  2. Derkins
  3. Step-Ups
  4. Plank Jacks
  5. Raccoon Merkins
  6. Am. Ham.
  7. Sumo Squats
  8. 50 SSH
  1. Curls
  2. LBCs
  3. Box Jumps
  4. Imp. Walkers
  5. Rows
  6. Leg raises
  7. Lunges
  8. 15 No Surrenders

We rotated once the Pax at station 8 finished their reps (or 1:20 on a stopwatch if no one was there). We finished the second circuit’s second lap right on the 45 minute mark (props to fortunate planning).

COT:

Circle up: prayers for continued health and the strength to finish. Excellent work by the HIM who did all of the Halpha day beatdowns and Chef for driving over from Gwinnett in the wee hours of the morning to Q the ruck.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Excellent work to everyone who came out for Halpha Day.
