Stroller Favorites

AO: Windjammer

When: 04/12/2023

QIC: Stroller

PAX (12): Caroline, Deep dish, Dipstick, False Start, Jump Seat, Maytag AI, Nair, Sparkie, Stroller, Townie, Walkie Talkie, Zohan

Preamble:

Announcement this past weekend that the Jammer needed a Q for today. Hmmm, that looks promising. YHC always appreciates the chance to jump on another AO’s Q sheet if the locals are unwilling to fill it.

But wait…Dipstick: “Stroller have you ever even been here?”

Stroller: “At least twice.” Regardless, it is certainly not often enough.

Relying on Google Earth and some vague memories of Cookie’s favorite places, rolled in this morning for the pre-run with half a plan in mind. When in doubt, go to the old favorites.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey over to the dam. Line up for:

  • Imperial Walker x15
  • Weedpicker x15
  • Copperhead Squat x15
  • Motivators up to 8

We’re warm now.

The Thang:

Mosey to the boat launch. Circle up for Captain America- 1:4 ratio of burpees to ski jumps, starting with 1 burpee and going all the way to 10:40.

10 count. Had another idea here but decided to move on to the sports park.

Went looking for a wall and fortunately we found one. Everyone to the wall and hold a wall sit. Each PAX drops for 3 burpees while the other PAX wall sit. Just one round here.

Same spot, but spread out a bit. Speedo’s donkey kick routine: 5 donkey kicks, hold with feet up on the last one. Then 10, then 15.

Continue on to the giant hill (if you know, you know). Thought we might get lost, but managed to find it with just a small detour through some very tall grass. Set of 7s: squats at the bottom, dry docks at the top. In my mind the hill would be dry since it hasn’t rained in a few days. That was not the case. Felt a bit gratuitous, but at least it wasn’t 11s…

Up to LW Drive and back toward the flag, stopping at the traffic circle to plank while the other guys caught up. Then into the upper pool parking lot for a Conveyor Belt (not sure if there’s an official name, this is an old Mufasa routine). Each PAX plank on a parking space line. The man at the far end does 5 mercans then runs to the opposite end and planks. Went up and down the parking lot, with each PAX completing their mercans 3 times.

Back to the flag with 4 minutes remaining for round robin Mary. Hammers, E2k, BBSU, and Flutters…and that’s all.

COT:

  • Halpha Day upcoming- April 21 at the Rubicon, 8pm. 12 hrs of beatdowns. Come for some or come for all
  • Zohan’s back

Jump Seat was our 6 today and shared about how F3 has helped him through some difficult situations over the last few months.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great to see the men of the Windjammer. Appreciate the chance to lead! Jump Seat’s words really resonated with me- the consistent community and support has helped me through some hard times over the last almost-5 years and helped me to a much better place.
