Chad 1000x

Preamble:

For Veteran's day two HIMs and I took on the Chad 1000x in memory of Chad Wilkinson who took his life on October 29, 2018 due to the effects of numerous deployments, several TBIs, blast wave injuries and PTSD. As a veteran who was fortunate enough not to have faced combat deployment, I consider myself lucky to have avoided many of the struggles that other veterans have faced. I have many friends who were not so lucky. Bringing awareness to the epidemic of veteran suicide (the common statistic cited is that 22 vets per day take their own lives) is a cause that is dear to me. Warm-O-Rama:

We got right into it.

The Thang:

With weighted rucks we traversed up the stairs at Starting Line for 1000 steps. It was a good workout but the wind and the rain made it extra special. Really it is humbling to take on something like this.

COT:

As this was more of a CSAUP we kind of had an abbreviated COT and Coffee as Script Kiddie had to bug out pretty quickly. Glad to have gotten up in the gloom for this.
