Preamble:

Saw an opening at the Norseman, and was a little sad I won’t be in town to play dodgeball, so I picked it up to give them a taste of the Rubicon. I told the PAX that I had great creative ideas, but my newest 2.0 had other plans in mind when he decided not to sleep. So, on 2-3 hours of sleep I decided to keep it simple. Another brain fart when going through the disclaimer, but we made it through and were off.

Warm-O-Rama:

Over to the parking lot in front of the field for a quick warm-o-rama:

  • SSH
  • Weed Picker
  • Copperhead Squat
  • Hillbilly
  • Arm circles
  • COVID

With that, we are off!

The Thang:

Thang 1: Mercan Mile

It was hot and steamy, so what is better than a nice refreshing run with some Mercans. Up to the main road stopping five times along the way and completing 20 Mercans at each stop (verbal grunts heard when I said 20). Squat it out for the 6 at each stop.

Thang 2: Burp Back Mountain-ish

I drove over the day before and tried to scout out a good hill for burp back mountain, but could not find anything along the lines of Mt. Saint Nirvana (shameless plug for you to come on over and check out Nirvana on Saturdays at 0700). So, I settled for a nice loop with a hill involved. Pick a partner and share 100 burpees.  One partner runs the loop while the other burpees, keep switching until the group hits 100 burpees.

Thang 3: Quarter Pounder

Nice and warmed up, we headed to the fancy turf field (this field has some seriously nice and soft turf) for a quarter pounder. On the goal line you do the following:

  • Sprint to the close 25 yard line and do 25 hand release Mercans. Run backwards to the goal line.
  • Sprint to the 50 yard line and do 50 Bonnie Blares (alpha). Run backwards to the goal line.
  • Sprint to the opposite 25 yard line and do 75 squats. Run backwards to the goal line.
  • Sprint to the opposite goal line and do 100 mountain climbers (single). Done.

We finished with two minutes to spare, so circle up for some Mary. YHC started with some flutters, then to Pepper for some gas pumpers (modified), and then to TO for some LBCs.

Finish in a pool of sweat.
