Preamble:

From Slack on Friday:  “YHC on Q tomorrow.  We will take a tour of the park, have some fun on the playground and who knows, maybe even celebrate the Dawgs natty with a little confetti falling from the sky”

4 pre-ruckers and 16 PAX answered the call.  7AM on the clock, after a quick disclaimer, we moseyed toward the trail.

Warm-O-Rama:

Trail run to the top of the Widowmaker.  Mountain climbers and Peter Parkers for the Six.  Head down to the bottom of the hill, circle up for SSH, Imperial Walkers and Weedpickers.

 

The Thang:

YHC then explained that the good news was that we would only go up once.  The bad news it would be Bernie Sanders style, aka backwards.

Once we gathered at the top, we hit the trail again for a long mosey off property to Lake Windward Elementary (my kids school).  Next up was a Circle Burp.

Then, partner up for DORA 1-2-3.

  • 100 merkins
  • 200 squats
  • 300 LBC

Head back on property stopping a few times for DB drills in the tennis court parking lot.  Eventually we found ourselves at the playground for a little child’s play.  Split into 2 teams, with 1 PAX from each time on the “trolly”, the other using the mechanical arm to push the guy down the tracks.  Team 1 defeated team 2 due to a technicality.  Round 2 was canceled in order to respect the playground equipment.  Audible called and we hit the parking lot for Colt 45 with coupons.

Next we headed to the turf field for a Ring of Fire trio:

  • merkin ring of fire
  • squat ring of fire
  • monkey humper ring of fire

Circle up for 2 minutes of Mary.

COT:

Doughboy talked about Climb Kili and all of the work that the organization does in Tanzania.  The challenge coming up in February is a great way for our PAX of F3 to get involved and make a difference.  Reach out to the Doughboy or Splinter for details.

Prayers spoken for PAX families and for our physical and mental ability for us to do the things we do in the gloom, including the fellowship we share and giving back to our community.
