Welcome FNG Red Ryder!
After a week or two of nice spring weather it was time to break out the long sleeve shirts, gloves and hats again for a cool morning in the 40’s.
At 5:30 22 PAX were waiting to start the week and we moseyed to the football field parking lot for the Disclaimer and Warm-up.
Warm-O-Rama:
13 Windmills
13 Imperial Walkers
13 Alternating Shoulder Taps
13 Plank Jacks
The Thang:
After the Warm-O-Rama, the PAX partnered up and found a lifting coupon to share and headed to the Football Field. When we arrived at the football field we were greeted by a playlist of tax/money inspired songs since taxes are due today. The playlist included, Mo Money Mo Problems (The Notorious B.I.G), Money for Nothing (Dire Straits), Money (Pink Floyd), Taxman (The Beatles) & If I Had $1,000,000 (Barenaked Ladies). The workout this morning was a modified version of the Bear Crawl 1-2-3 and is more aptly called Backpedal Bear Crawl 1-2-3-2-1.
After a brief explanation, the PAX partnered up with a shared coupon. Partner 1 performed the exercises listed below (with coupon) while Partner 2 pedaled backwards the width of the field and then bear crawled back to switch with Partner 1. This rotation continued until the prescribed number of each exercise was achieved.
- 100 Squat Thrusts
- 200 Skull Crushers
- 300 Arm Curls
- 200 American Hammers (double count)
- 100 Overhead Presses
As the groups finished they met in the end zone for Mary, and with 7 minutes to go YHC called in the 6 and began our mosey back to the flag for a few minutes of Mary.
COT:
- Chalupa’s brother is opening Fellows, a new breakfast restaurant in Roswell on Green St. Coffeteria will be moved to Fellows this coming Wednesday morning if they are agreeable to opening up a little early for us.
- Convergence is on Saturday, April 20th
Naked-Man Moleskin:
It’s always an honor to be associated and surrounded by this group of men. I’m overwhelmed by the support and encouragement we all provide to each other. This weekend was a good example, where many F3 guys were at CLC to support Thumper’s fundraiser, two teams at the Ragnar race encouraged and were cheerleaders for the other and every month there’s a new challenge to accelerate ourselves.
