It wasn’t until Squeegee announced that he would be on (dental) IR this week and unable to Q that YHC realized that he had a looming conflict as well. This provided a perfect opportunity to switch without disrupting the Q-sheet. YHC thinks that Squeegee simply took a good, long look at the forecast and opted for a strategic fart-sack that conveniently matched the doctors orders.
Warm-Up:
With rain steadily coming down and the ground thoroughly saturated, YHC led the PAX for a warm-up mosey through the trail past tennis courts, up the hill, and around the pond. Circle-up in the parking lot for the following:
- 15 Abe Vigodas
- 15 Imperial Walkers
- 15 Toy Solders
YHC had fleeting thoughts of a longer surveillance mosey around the park, but was certain that Virginia Slim would ban attendance of his Q’s forever. Thus, onward for a short mosey down hill, through football field parking lot and along trail to the playground.
The Thang:
YHC did his best to “scout” the Wreck in advance to avoid the swampy areas, but alas there isn’t much high-ground to be had with pull-up apparatus available, so beggars/choosers. Split up into 4 groups and perform 5 circuits of the following:
- Station 1: 10 Inverted Rows (using swings)
- Station 2: 20 Decline Merkins
- Station 3: 10 Pull-Ups
- Station 4: 20 Super Stone Mountains (toes on picnic-table top)
Planks/Side-Planks/6-inch Planks waiting for the six. A quick look at the clock showed 15 minutes remaining, which was more than enough time for a lightning round of 4 Corners consisting of the following:
- 10 Burpees
- 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins
- 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 Squats
- 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 Squats, 40 J-Los
- 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 Squats, 40 J-Los, 50 LBCs
YHC ordered PAX to head for the flag when finished while Slim swept the six. No time for Mary today.
COT:
- Hearty welcome to FNG Shaun Heneghan (Lou or Blue – taking votes)!
