13 PAX showed up this a.m. to test their strength and endurance via the Army PT test. One poor FNG had to take the test on his first day of class, but he left with a name. Welcome FEATHERS! All men drew a line in the sand today and will choose whether to take steps forward beyond the line as they make themselves better or stay the same or take steps backwards. We all have a choice and we pretty much all know where we stand as of February 5th 2018. Some guys were better pusher uppers, some better sitter uppers, and some better runners.
Here’s what went down:
Sunshine graced our circle at 5:30am on the nose and off we went on a big warm-up lap with high knees, butt-kickers, and side shuffles thrown in for fun.
Back at “the flag” we circled up for some quick cadence warm-up drills. Disclaimer provided.
Partnered up and YHC explained what we were going to do for those that haven’t done the Army PT test before.
Partner A starts and Partner B counts good reps- 2 minutes of merkins, then switch rolls
Same thing with Big Boy sit-ups
Last, we did two miles worth of moseying. All of us giving chase to El Matador, who was running like bulls were chasing him down the streets of Pamplona.
Once done, we did some active recovery exercises while the rest finished up.
COT: Prayers for health, those travelling, work situations, and our Ms…we lifted up praise for 2 solid years of F3 in Johns Creek. About 1/3 of the today’s group was there at the launch. However, every man there was there because another man asked him to come out. Let that sink in and motivate you to get that next guy out.
Nice work gentlemen! Old Uncle Scrooge will be your tour guide of JC on Wednesday and I’ll be seeing you guys back for a Simba led smoke on Friday.
I also owe a few guys (the Dab, Ralphie, and Nacho) an F3 patch.
SYITG!
