Preamble:
Two things you can count on in a Cam’s beatdown:
- Music
- A beatdown that runs itself via a timer app of some kind
This one lived up to those standards.
Warm-O-Rama:
We moseyed to the parking lot for a lap and a round of SSHs, weed pickers, imperial walkers, and arm circles. Then back from whence we came for a covered beatdown.
The Thang:
Tabatas were the name of the game. I switched it up this time by having everyone do the same exercises instead of rotating. We did 8 rounds of each exercise, 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest. After the 8 rounds we had a 30 second “recovery” where we mostly did SSHs. The rounds consisted of:
- merkins
- jump squat
- big boys
- plank jacks
- reverse lunges
- mountain climbers
- wall sits
- shoulder taps
- mystery round
For the mystery round we had various pax call out new exercises to round out the beatdown. All of this to the rocking sounds of Sublime (sorry to Delorean that Pool Shark never came up on shuffle).
The beatdown ended abruptly with little fanfare, much to pax chagrin.
