A dry, calm, chilly morning BD was a perfect way to start the week off. It took over a year for me to Q. Better late than ever I guess.
19 PAX were at the flag at 5:30 and we moseyed to the parking lot by the baseball field for the Disclaimer and Warm-up.
Warm-up
- 30 SSH
- 15 Imperial Walkers
- 15 Weed Pickers
- 10 Toy soldiers
The Thang
I tried keeping the workout as balanced as possible this morning. I had a couple of different spots I wanted to visit to make sure we got a good mix.
1st stop, the grass hill:
20 Squats at the bottom of the hill
Bear crawled going up
20 Monkey Humpers at the top of the hill
Crawl Bear back down
**We did 3 rounds**
We LBC’ed for the 6 (Lead by Aflac)
2nd stop:
We did a quick loop in the parking lot closest to the grass hill. I took back what I said and decided to do 5 burpees at each light post. We ended up doing only 15 Burpees which was tolerable.
After our loop, we continued back to the bottom of the hill by the baseball field where the small wall was located.
3rd stop, the small wall:
20 dips
20 Step-ups (20 each leg = 40 total)
20 Incline Merkins
**We did 3 rounds**
Big Boy Sit-up for the 6 (Lead by Aflac)
4th stop, the football field:
We started at the goal line. We sprinted to the 50-yard line. We did 50 Sumo Squats then continued to sprint to the other goal line. Turned around and did it again.
5th stop, the jungle gym:
We did a round of morning call.
As we left the jungle gym and began to mosey to the flag I realized that we still had a few minutes to burn. We had a few light posts to utilize. So, we lunged in place 10-20 each leg (I can’t remember exactly what number I yelled out) at each light post.
We made it back to the flag with about 6-7 minutes left for Mary. We took turns calling out exercises. DD did show us how good he was at the “Buzz Saw”… HA
