Not sure who the beauty was this morning, but the title worked nicely with one of the Justin Bieber songs on our workout playlist this morning.
A little rain and a starting temperature of 46F was the perfect way to start the weekend, and karma for me putting off my VQ until one of the last days of the month.
9 PAX were at the flag at 5:30 and we moseyed to the football field parking lot for the Disclaimer and Warm-up
Warm-up
- 12 Windmills
- 12 Mountain Climbers
- 15 SSH
- American Hammers since the parking lot was a big puddle, AH’s were skipped and saved for mary later in the beatdown.
The Thang
The workout this morning was the Nolan Richardson “40 minutes of Hell”. Thanks to cooler temperatures and rain, Hell wasn’t so hot this morning which made it all bearable. Not to mention a solid playlist of Justin Bieber tunes that kept the PAX motivated and pumped up.
After a brief explanation, the PAX partnered up. Partner 1 performed the exercises listed below while Partner 2 ran backwards to the 50-yard line, did a “Bobby Hurley”, and then ran back to the goal line to switch with Partner 1. This rotation continued until the prescribed number of each exercise was achieved.
Round 1:
- 100 Burpees
- 300 Squats
- 150 Big Boy Sit-ups
Those that finished first did 2 rounds of legitimate Mary (American Hammers and Merkins) led by Squeegee (whose dreams had come true) and then Foley led a countless round of box cutter Mary while the 6 completed Round 1.
Round 2:
- 300 Little Baby Arm Circles
- 150 Merkins
- 300 Imperial Walkers
Most of the PAX got up to around 200 imperial walkers and time was getting short so we called in the 6 and began our mosey back to the flag for COT.
