It’s taken me over 12 hours to write the back blast due to a busy day and a small level of disappointment that we only got 1/5th of the PAX that were set to show per the preblast. All i want is to outnumber the swimmers. If high schoolers (and the parents that drive them) can hit the pool at 5:30, surely the men of Alpharetta can get a workout in.

But anyways, enough about those that weren’t there, here is the story of those who were.

At 529, Big South is looking for Baby South. They live together so this is odd, but maybe I don’t know all the details. 530 we gotta mosey, so we left. Original plan was to warmup where we used to always warmup (between the softball fields for the newbs) but we had straglers so to a lit area.

To the red swingset, but first a quick people’s chair. The PAX wait as The Rubicon’s King (King Crack) crosses the mini rubicon bridge. Okay, so not really. Crack just make PAX member #12. Eleven is prime and awful for partner and group exercises, which we had planned and did.

Group up in to groups of three for a little mini Murph.
Partner 1 does 5 pullups while Partner 2 does merkins and Partner 3 does squats. When partner 1 fininshes he goes to Merkins, Partner 2 goes to squats, Partner 3 does 5 pullups. And so on. 10 cycles through the group for 50 pullups each and a healthy number of merkins and squats.

Partner up in 2s.

YhC got out the speaker and played The Beatles – Let It Be
PAX hold plank the entire song (>4 min). When you hear “let it be”, hold plank and touch both knees to the ground quickly and back into plan. (Credit M for this workout).
