Ab-sore-lutely bonkers

AO: The Wreck

When: 04/24/2023

QIC: Moonshine

PAX (12): aflac, Blue, Choo Choo, corky, Donor, Manchester, Meltdown, Motorboat, Mountain Mama, Rooney- timlonergan, toothpick

Preamble:

“Ab-sore-lutely bonkers”… see what your humble correspondent (YHC) did there?  With the title?  Because we worked out abs yesterday and now they are sore.

This is the best plan YHC could come up with since YHC literally signed up to lead that morning after waking up and then spent the short commute coming up with a plan.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the playground for SSH, Weed Pickers, Moroccan Night Club, plank (with a couple merkins thrown in)

The Thang:

Partner up for some Dora 1-2-3 with 100 toe tap leg raises, 200 big boy sit-ups, 300 pickle pounders.

Partner 1 does 15 swirkins while partner 2 does Dora exercises.  After a couple rounds, Q called an audible and changed swirkins to running up the stairs and back.  The pax was close to mutiny during the 200 big boys but managed to push through in the end.  YHC thought the 300 pickle pounders were worse.

Mary for the 6, then cobra stretch.

Back to the flag for 15 minutes of Mary with a heavy emphasis on – you guessed it – abs!  All of the pax took a turn calling out their favorite ab exercises and we even had a bit of a Q lesson thrown in for some of the pax newer to leading cadence.  YHC ended the 15 min round with a special alphabet session, having the pax spell out “www.f3alpha.com/q [target date] [pax name] so they would all know how easy it actually is to sign up for a Q.

COT:

Prayers for healing for Choo-choo’s friend Ken, for the upcoming convergence, and for any pax needing help and direction.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

YHC tried to encourage the pax to sign up for a future Q.  A big part of what F3 does to invigorate male leadership is to lead a workout.  You get an opportunity to lead from the front and look out for the 6, lead from the 6 and look out for the goats, or lead from anywhere in the middle.  All men are welcome to participate, all men are encouraged to take their turn in the lead.  I always enjoy seeing what you all come up with.
