Swiper Birthday Q – 54

AO: Grindstone

When: 10/04/2022

QIC: Swiper

PAX (9): Crab Cake, Olaf, Schneider, Snowman, Spit Valve, Swiper, Whiz, corn dog; lasso

Preamble:

YHC made it through another lap around the sun…I dreamed of the future.  What does it hold?  Is it possible that I could one day hear the Double Respect like our famed brothers, Ha-Ha and Stu?  For now, let’s stick to the task at hand.  Off we go…

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the top of the Parking lot for Mary:

Weed Pickers

Imperial Walkers

Side Straddle Hops

Moroccan Night Clubs

The Thang:

Mosey to the big field for a circuit exercise:

Starting on the 25 yard line, do 5 Star Jumps; bear crawl to the 10; lunge walk to the back of the end zone (the fence) and do 2 Jackass Burpees (Burpee with 2 donkey kicks)

Backpedal back to the 25

Round 2 – RNR with +5 Star Jumps and +2 Jackass Burpees

Continue to 25/ 10

Next, Mosey to the big parking lot and partner up for a modified Dora with Coupon:  Whiz took the cactus award (see Crab Cake post with #hardcock) for the rock selection.

50 Skull Crushers

75 OHP

100 Curls

4 corners lap facing south the entire time; sprint back to the flag.  YHC had the Q position lead, but was overtaken by Lasso in the last 10 yards or so.   No worries however as he is not on the preferred mailing list for Viagra so next week I hope to get at least one body part across the finish line ahead of him.

COT:

Praise for Snowman’s great experience with the PAX in Texas last week.   He even recruited some pre-runners and they didn’t even know pre-running was a thing!

Prayers for those in Florida impacted by hurricane Ian.  Regardless of the fact that the TV coverage has waned, the weight of that situation is heavy for many so let’s not forget them and look for ways to help if we can.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Comments are often made regarding the fact that F3 is more than a workout.  A completely true statement in every way, but don’t lose sight of the fact that the workout component is very important.  I attended a funeral for a 54-year old on 9/25 who had been a close friend in my 20’s.  It was clear not only from his tragic story, but also from the other friends of mine from that time period who were in attendance, that the decisions we make have consequences.  Choices you make that don’t seem like a huge deal at the time can send your life in a completely opposite direction.  Obviously, there are many things that are not in our control, but let’s capitalize on the ones that are.
