Capture the Flag Part 4

Preamble:

YHC proclaimed that today would be a day of games to celebrate the Braves winning their 5th division title in a row the day before.  11 men answered the call.  1 pre-rucker No-See-Um and 1 solo runner who later joined us for COT.

5:30am – quick disclaimer and off into the gloom.

Warm-O-Rama:

Typical warmup, no explanation needed.

The Thang:

We moseyed to the field of dreams for a game of Capture the Flag, probably the 4th time I’ve Q’d it, but first in at least a year or two.

-on each side there is a Children at Play sign that would need to be knocked down to score a point
-each team had color coordinated pool noodles
-field is setup short and wide with a designated middle line
-offense is in bear crawl mode, defense in crab walk
-as soon as you cross mid field you can be tagged by the defense with their noodle
-when tagged, stand up and do 3 squats, then run back to your side
-when a goal is scored, losing team does 5 burpees while other team does SSH
-the game was tied at 6 each so we had 1 final play to win the game
-from my recollection, Special K got behind the defense and put them away

COT:

Praise for the ability to get out in the gloom with our brothers and laugh around, play games, build bonds.  Prayers were spoken for elderly grandparents and for raising teens.  Continued prayers for Bo Knows and his family.  Announcements included Convergence on 10/29 and Santa Ruck on 12/10.  TCLAPS to Jump Seat for being a week old RNG and already hitting 4 beatdowns including 3 different AO’s.  Welcome Dirty Mo from Denver. Coffeeteria and TNT followed.
