Preamble:

Running out of time to submit the sameday backblast so I’ll keep it brief.  YHC grabbed the Q last minute when the opportunity was left open.  A few HC’s trickled in but I figured we would have more action due to the great weather on tap.  YHC successfully sent a few texts out to a few Kotters and one took the bait.  5:30AM rolled around and after a quick disclaimer, we hit the gloom.

Warm-O-Rama:

Head to the Dam for SSH, Smurf Jacks, Weedpickers and Bat Wings.  Now that our arms were warmed up, on to the main Thang.

The Thang:

From the Dam, we would do the merkin mile in reverse.  Heading toward Webb Bridge Rd, we would stop at every lightpost for a variation of merkins, 5 total reps each post.  After about 20 posts and nearly a mile later, we found ourselves at the bottom of Lake Windward Dr needing to get back up.  At this point YHC told the PAX they needed to partner up, then 1 partner would bear crawl up towards Clipper and the other would run to Clipper, then go back to relieve his partner.  An option was given to lunge walk as a modification.  Before we could get to Clipper, there was lots of lunge walking and groaning amongst the PAX.  To put a cherry on top, YHC told them we would repeat the same thing all the way back to the Windjammer parking lot.  Yep, bear crawling all the way there.  This didn’t go over well with the PAX, but I’m guessing they were thankful for the push.  Once we reached the parking lot we did a series of Colt 45’s with coupons then it was back to the flag for a burpee apocalypse with a get out of jail card for every F3 Core Principle they got right.  So we did 10 burpees, then they got a core value so we skipped 9, did 8 burpees, and so on.  No time for Mary.

COT:

Prayers and praise were offered.  It was great seeing Short Sale come back for his 2nd post after being an FNG last Friday.  He wants to get plugged in more so we told him about the Norseman where Callahan, the man who EH’d him at church, posts.  Also TCLAPS to Maytag for driving from Dawsonville to join us a couple times per week.  He has some serious dedication.  Good to have HammerTime back in the gloom for the first time in a few months.

Last – it was great to have the band back together.  We had majority of our regulars post today which was the first time in a while. Still missing a few, but it felt good to have most of us back in the gloom together.

Honored to Lead.
