At some point someone needs to do an analysis of average temp/Q. I’m pretty sure YHC has the record for the lowest average. Seriously… 23 degrees in November??? But regardless, 21 PAX including some notable Kotters showed up to brave the cold. Much respect!
At 0530 we moseyed. Quick stop at the windy parking lot for a warmup: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Mountain Climbers and Windmills.
At some point I recall AFLAC declaring that we would do “The Murph” at least once a month. By my recollection it hasn’t happened in several, so I figured it was time to pick up the slack. We headed out for a one mile-ish mosey around the back of the park making our way around to the playground. Then it was on:
10 Rounds:
- 10 Pullups
- 20 Merkins
- 30 Squats
You know the PAX is getting stronger when there’s plenty of mumble chatter throughout a Murph. I think AFLAC was discussing the finer details of the freakin tax code. Impressive job by the PAX knocking it out in what felt like record time. A few rounds of Mary while waiting for the Six before a quick 10 count followed by a “hot-lap” back to the flag. YHC proudly rolling in with the Six to the flag with just enough time for another round or two of Mary.

It was awesome seeing such strong numbers for the coldest morning of the year and great seeing some of the old gang back in action. Let’s keep the numbers up through the winter.
