Mosey on to the football field for the Thang.
In celebration of the NFL draft being this week. We dedicated this workout to the DRAFT and specifically the Falcons being the 26th pick. So obviously we kept the workout on the football field and did 26 reps on everything relevant. Here’s run down the 5 routines we completed.
D = DORA 1-2-3
300 Overhead Claps (Rise Up Claps)
R = Route 66
Run around the field and stop every 50 yards for ascending merkins. 1 Merkin at the first stop, 2 at the second and so on till we reached 11 Merkins.
A = ALARM
Arms = x26 Overhead Press
Legs = x26 Lunges
Abs = x26 Big Boy Sit Ups
R = Run a lap around football field (.26 miles)
M = x26 Mountain Climbers
F = Four Corners consisting of a Deconstructed Burpee
Corner 1 = x26 Thrust
Corner 2 = x26 Merkins
Corner 3 = x26 Squats
Corner 4 = x26 Thrust
T = Triple Check
Partner up in groups of 3 with 1st partner running 200 yards while partner 2 holds the Peoples Chair and the 3rd partner holds a plank. When the runner returned we rotated. Rinse and repeat twice.
With time to spare we circled up for a few circle of pain routines. First up the Howling Monkeys with you guessed it. 26 reps per person. Second up we did the Fire Drill with stop drop and roll Merkins on my command.
The Body reminded us that no football practice is ever finished without running a few hills to finish emptying the gas tank. So we moseyed over to the hill of hell for some 11’s. Squats on top and SSH on bottom.
