A few days late on this BB, mainly due to the fact that Virginia Slim has developed a sudden case of CRS since turning 50 a few days ago and needed an assist from YHC. Note to self – never let a fellow PAX post your BB as you never know what you’re gonna get.

With a 50th b-day Q looming on the calendar, YHC schemed with the PAX to craft a special plan for Slim that he wouldn’t soon forget. While waiting at the flag for a slow trickle of PAX flowing in, YHC could tell he was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a larger showing of support. With the clock hitting T-5, it was time to cheer him up a bit and break out the WO attire of the day:

Special thanks to Bronco for sourcing a perfect shirt, which seemed to fit him better than he deserved. We were are secretly hoping it would be WAY too small. For the record, he does a women’s XL perfectly.

With 0530 on the clock, it was time to get the small turnout moving. Grab a coupon and start with 50 Cusack-style high-knees towards the playground. After 50 steps, drop and perform 50 Merkins on the coupon. It was at this point that the small PAX were ambushed by the rebel alliance storming down the trail. Slim got the worst of it as Rooney bagged the old guy while the PAX gave him a friendly code-red. In fact, word has it Rooney was REALLY looking forward to the ambush, but that’s a story for a different time.

Invigorated by a PAX 25 strong now, Slim directed another round of 50 Cusack-style high-knees followed by 50 Bent-Over Rows. With a final round of Cusack-style high-knees and squats, the PAX found themselves at the playground.

Split the PAX into 5 groups to rotate through the following exercises:

  • 50 Derkins (toes on the coupon)
  • 50 Shoulder-Press (with coupon)
  • 50 Bent-Over Rows (with coupon)
  • 50 Bicep Curls (with coupon)
  • AMRAP Pull-Ups (YHC was a little confused about this one, but will blame Slim for poor instructions)

Rinse/repeat the above for a second round. Once finished, Cusack to the big hill for the following:

  • 50 BB Sit-ups then carry coupon to top
  • 50 Flutter-kicks (with coupon)
  • 50 LBC’s (no coupon)
  • 50 Flutter-kicks

Cusack back toward the flag with a stop at the Recreation Center entrance hill for a lovely coupon-push up the hill. At this point, I think Slim was running on Geritol only as he clearly wasn’t thinking straight. Push the coupon up the hill to the speed-bump and perform 50 Merkins.

Once finished, get back to the flag by any means possible with coupon in tow. No time left for Mary.
