No Longer Bound Golf Fundraiser

Men of F3 Alpha,

For those of you that don’t know F3 Alpha partners with No Longer Bound (men’s rehabilitation facility) for a Wednesday workout at Caney Creek.  I have been fortunate to be able to workout with these men for the past 6 months. The other day I got a phone call from Stay Puff over at NLB asking if I wanted to play in the golf tournament fundraiser?

This is one of their annual events that helps with the cost of the program.  NLB costs about $15,000 for the entire year of the program. Many rehabilitation facilities cost that in one month.  On top of that, men at the program learn different trades (woodworking, media, autoshop) that help offset the cost of the stay.

Anyways, I thought the golf tournament sounded like a great idea so I checked the dates and it turns out that I am giving a final the next day.  So I asked Baby Face if I could miss school to go to this event and he shuts me down! I had to call back Stay Puff and tell him that I wouldn’t be able to attend the golf tournament but I asked him if there are any other ways to help out.  He said, “of course, you can buy a hole sign for $350.” I thought to myself, “well that’s pretty cheap I bet there are other F3 men that would love to help out our brothers at NLB.” So my thought was there are at least 100 men in our region and if everyone gave $10 we could buy a sign or three.  I am going to head this up. So if you would like to join me in supporting our F3 brothers at NLB please let me know. I am attaching a google form to fill out and you can pay me via venmo/paypal/zelle. If you are a cash guy you can find me at the Hooch on Monday’s, Candy Creek on Wednesday’s, The Rubicon on Thursdays, or the Widowmaker on Saturday’s.

Also if you are interested in playing in the tournament I am posting the link.  https://nolongerbound.com/golf-tournament/

If you have any questions please let me know. Below is the mission statement of NLB.

Rescuing Addicts

No Longer Bound provides broken and willing individuals with a place of escape from the enslavement of addiction. We do this by creating a residential refuge for addicted individuals to detoxify from the chemicals, chaos, and catastrophe caused by their dependency.

Regenerating Men

No Longer Bound believes that true freedom comes through the deep and difficult process of regeneration. This process involves resolving wounds of the past, repairing damaged belief systems, restoring relational health, and receiving a new identity.

Reconciling Families

No Longer Bound creates organized opportunities for hurting families to recover from the damage of addiction. We assist families with restoring trust, releasing expectations, and repairing broken relationships in order to reconcile them to health and wholeness.
