Listen, Learn, Lead, Love

Preamble:

I don’t Q enough.  This one has been tossing around in my mind for weeks…but I know I had to do it and I knew my brothers would support me.

Super glad that a nice squad of 14 came out in the cold to join in on the fun and excitement.

Warm-O-Rama:

Circle up and mosey to the middle lower lot for some warm ups of…

• Moroccan night clubs
• SSH
• Willie mays hays
• Weed pickers
• Sun gods….either I didn’t remember what these were correctly or we did them wrong…in any case we moved and warmed up.

The Thang:

Team competition….with disguised learning about leadership.

• Broke into teams of 3
• Its all about your team and competing your best against the others
• 1 point for each winning team in each exercise….coffee or beer on me for the team with the most points at the end of the BD
• LOTS of mumble chatter so many missed the fine print of points, I will be intentionally moving fast and not repeat instructions….the leaders within the groups would figure this out quickly and lead their teams….see what I did there?
• Each team tracks their wins and competes on the honesty/integrity of the team

Team Challenges:

• Mosey up hill for each team to pick their favorite coupon from the pile
• move to middle parking lot
• #1 Dora (100 of each, curls, skull crushers and press ups ) while the 2 others ran to the end of the parking lot and back….and a 10 merkin toll at the turn
• #2 sitting back to back in a circle of 3, pass the coupon in one direction 15 times
• #3 Bear crawls Indian race style
• rest break…..10 Wolverines
• #4 Coupon relay – run halfway down parking lot with coupon, coupon needs to make 4 round trips…no guidance as to how needs to carry the coupon…team figures that out on their own
• #5 Partner Carry….Down and back…each person needs to be carried once
• #6 Back to back again…pass coupon the opposite direction as you did in #2
• #7 standard sprint relay…each person runs to end of parking lot and back once
• Mosey to flag
• @snowman led us in…you guessed it….American hammers!!!

COT:

• Prayers:
  • Snowman shared a terrible story of 2 college kids that were tragically killed (Wayne and Blanch?) and to keep their family and friend in mind this week.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

As usual, I didn’t want to put myself out there but my brothers pushing me made me a better man today.

One of my side passions is coaching individuals (career/personal growth/life decisions).  I help people get unstuck and help challenge them to action.  I don’t talk about it much because I don’t want to “take advantage” of any F3 relationships.  I sometimes partner with Frank Schwartz (Dark Helmet) and coach groups of men.  Ask me more if you want.
