35 Pound Turkeys

AO: The Shadow

When: 11/26/2020

QIC: Manhole

PAX (16): Big Apple, Box Checker, CIA, Curve Ball, Dubya, Gilligan, Leon, Manhole, Megatron, Radar, Rambo, Ricochet, Salt-Lick, Switch-Board, Team Mom, Zoom

Preamble:

It started with a question, one simple question, posed to the PAX, what time? What time should this Turkey Day extravaganza take off? What time is early enough, but not too early, late enough, but not too late. Considering most Thursdays get rolling at 5:30, with the late shift wrapping up by 6:45, 6:30 seemed like a good compromise. And so they came, one by one, and to the surprise of YHC, the count was 16, and so we began.

Warm-O-Rama:

YHC called a circle, gave a disclaimer for safety, and reminded all that this was an hour (The Full Monty).

And so it ensued, all IC and x12. (twice around for good measure)

  • Imperial Walkers
  • SSH
  • Low Slow Squats
  • Windmills
  • Stone Mountains

Mosey off the lot, onto the trail by the ball field and over to and down to the end of the track. Dubya’s curiosity was working overtime. What sinister evolution did YHC have in mind. Well, his questions were answered.

The Thang:

35 pound turkeys for all (probably more like 36 pounds with all the rain the night before). That’s right, Concrete Turkeys were nicely neatly stacked and ready for use.

And what goes better with Turkeys than Bunnies. Murder bunnies!!

Over to the goal line we went. 100 yards of Murder bunnies, broken into 10 yard chunks, with 10 Merkins on the block in between. (there was a lot of mumble chatter during this evolution).

We were not done with them yet though. Carry your Turkey back to the other end of the field and to the edge of the track and line them up.

Next evolution (4 Rounds) 1 lap followed by 10 each OYO of the following:

  • 10 Thrusters (head through the window)
  • 10 Goblet Squats
  • 10 Russian KettleBell Swings

A few of the PAX decided they weren’t done after 4 rounds (sick sick men)

Ok, everyone was full of Turkey at this point, so we put them away and took a little slowsy over to the back stretch for (4x) 100 yard-dash, mosey the 1st 50, 50% the 2nd 50.

Mosey to the flag pole for some…

Mary:

Big Block Alphabet (OYO)

Then some more stuff (all IC and mostly x12)

  • Rosalita
  • Lolalita
  • Leon’s Box Cutters
  • Big Boy Situps (OYO-15)
  • Obliques (Left / Right)

Mosey back to the track. (4x) 100 yard-dash, 75% for the 1st 50, and Mosey the 2nd 50.

Back to the flagpole:

15 Big Boy Situps (OYO)

Low Flutter (x24 and IC)

Mosey back to the track. (2x) 100 yard-dash, 100% for the 1st 50, and Mosey the 2nd 50.

Back to the flagpole for COT.

COT:

Leon took us out with words of Thanks for Thanksgiving

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Switchboard is plotting a virtual Peachtree Run on Saturday at a time TBD. YHC suggested an 0600 start from DNC, so that whoever opts for participation could post for the beatdown afterwards at 0700, but not sure that one will stick.
