My drive to the Gladiator this morning was perfect. 37 degrees, full moon and the thought of spending the day with Family and great food was almost too much to handle. 8 men decided to join YHC in the gloom. There was some grumbling about being cold, so a quick disclaimer and we were off on a mosey.
SSH, Weed-pickers and Hillbillies
So with the colder temps this morning I thought it only fitting to get a god run in between stations. So we set off for our 1st pavilion stop.
11’s with Dips and Step ups. No more complaining about the cold after that.
Another good mosey to our next station and here we settled on some parking lot team building – We split into groups of 3 and while 1 ran the others completed 30 merkins, 30 dips and 30 bonnie blairs, once all reps had been completed we planked for the six. Rinse and repeat with a 40 count of each exercise.
Another mosey to our turf field that looked like an ice rink with a nice layer of frost on for some 4 corners –
corner 1 – merkins
corner 2 – plank jacks
corner 3 – squat jumps
corner 4 – lbc’s
Start with 10 at each station with a lunge walk on the long end and crab walk or bear crawl on the short end. With some time left we did a rinse and repeat for a 5 count at each station. Mosey back to the flag for some Mary – Freddie Mercuries and American hammers and called it a day.
Good to have Saint2O out from the Hooch. Prayers for the Whelan family today as they remember a loved one gone too soon.
Thankful for all we have today and the opportunity to spend it not only with these Men but our families and friends – Happy Thanksgiving.
