Preamble:

We were expecting rain, so I planned on a pavillion BD.

Warm-O-Rama:

We carried the cinders, buckets, weights, and other implements of destruction to the larger pavilion.

The Thang:

This was a HIIT/Tabata BD with 64 seconds work, 26 seconds rest per exercise, we went through each exercise five time. Since we are going for time, the goal is for good form, rather than hammer out reps, but there was time to get many reps.

  2. Goblet Squat
  3. Tricep dips
  4. Curls (though we took one round each of wrist rollers
  5. Blockees
  6. Skull crushers
  7. Body Builders
We were nearly finished when I realized that Script Kiddie was missing out on a good bit of burpee variants. Once we finshed five rounds, I indulged a request from my son to play patty cake with cinders. 10/10, would do it again. We then moved into what was supposed to be a Flora 1-2-3, but we did not have much time, and we had an odd number of Pax. We turned it into a variation of Ring of Fire with one person completing 10 merkins while the pax held plank, we went around twice, for 100 merkins combined. Then switched to Squat and Air Chair, and finally LBCs, and the pax held their legs 6” off the deck.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It was a pleasant surprise having Soft Hands who was in town for a retreat, but made the time to get a bit stronger with us.
